Good bye! My 2008!

As the time is approaching to say goodbye to 2008,when look back this year,various feelings full in my mind：happy、moved 、proud、sad、yearn、suffer and even shock `````in the past 365 days,for our motherland,lots things happened: ice disaster, earth quark ,Olympic games and affected by the world financial crisis ; for me though: resign, finding a job, new boyfriend, new city and a totally new life. It’s no doubt that 2008 is an extraordinary year for every one.

Looking back at the time，whatever happened in the past，had already past. Now I want to remember were joys and happiness. God still love us and our country, so we should remain confidence whatever may betide in the future 2009.

January
--"China Highlights"annual celebration. It's a great group with energy and emotion.
- -Last time travel Guilin with the local guide team, which I did gave a lot care at that time.

February
-- A Short visit to Dalian, the most beautiful city in China: interesting polar bear ;smart dolphin; delicious seafood, and the most important was how warm the Meng's family were!

March
---- vivid activities with my previous China Highlights' colleagues.As the secretary of CYL in CITS Guilin, I organized the first activity in 2008.
---and the first activity with English group in 2008 ,I wished to have a good fortune ,hehe :)

April
---Qing Ming festival. a time to meet relatives a far. the left-behind children in my home town, a small village in the south of Guangxi province.most young people there go to Guangdong or Shenzhen to find a job,so their children have to stay at home. children really need parents' love.

May
-Struggled to maintain the balance between work and leaning drive . For a girl It's really tough to get a driver's licence. Everyday I had to get up 1 hour early and went to the licence school,after work, immediately hurry up to go to school again,and no rest at the weekend.Thank god I finally got my driver's licence. remember an old saying: no pain,no gain~~

-- Time to say goodbye to China Highlights, my favourite working place.I realize that when grow older,no matter you like or not, you have to face some parting . I tried to withhold from tears when part, and left a happy smile to everyone

-- Flight to Beijing, started my brand new life.luckily , I adapted quickly to the new environment.

---After much delay, I finished the Yangtze River Cruise with my parents,at that time,I had a promise that every year ,pay my parent a tour around China:)

--Paralympic closing ceremony . Olympic park, Bird Nest and Water Cube `````` when I stand in this stadiums, I felt a great sense of achievement with our Chinese people
---first job in Beijing,most my colleagues were from the north of China, they were all very direct and openness

---Yangzhou, a small city like Guilin:The dampness of the climate , people with gentle voiced.My fiend marry a gentleman in Yangzhou, .happy to know that she found her Mr. right:)

--- Almost sunshine everyday, I've visited a family which had already adopted more than 12 stray and homeless cats. now in Beijing,about 30% families have pets.but some cold blood people choose to abandon their pets by saying they could not afford to keep it .

--- A happy month full with Christmas celebration ,party,performance and other activities

Merry Chrismas& Happy new year!

Christmas is a time of mirth, especially for our Christian.To Christians, Jesus Christ is the Saviour.ActuallyI have started to observe Christmas holiday when I was in the University,but that time I know nothing about Jesues,for me though,Chistmas day that time was just one of the most interesting holidays from overseas and an excuse to give and receive gifts.

After received baptism on July last year, I realized that my life had changed a lot.No matter sadness or happiness,God is always around me,like a guiding spirit.In times of difficulty, I can pray for an oracle to guide me;while I enjoy the happy life,I would like to share with expressing my gratitude.God is like a bright lamp in the dark, a father of loving-kindness,I know that I'll never been alone in this world.

Thank Victor introduce Vivian to me,I join the Zhuyin church in Beijng.During13th December tol 24th, every weekend we will have a carol performance in several shopping malls in Beijing.This is my first time singing song performance,although our church have to face some problems, we'll never stop our confidence and sure to continue.

A brandnew family member TOURAN,1.8T

Meng and I finally got a car by the end of this year, TOURAN,1.8T.This car came promptly before a new cold front to hit Beijing.When I am comfortable seating inside the car,watching people struggle against the terrible strong wind outside the window,I could not help showing my gratitude towards God.

This new family member not only brings convenience,but also changes our going out style.Meng is a man use to stay at home,playing computer games.But soon after we have TOURAN,he starts to ask me wether I have any going out plan ,he is happy to be my driver.TOURAN make us more colse than before,we like singing together when driving,smile with each other in terms of love.

I agree that a car can reflects one’s personality, our life is definitely like the characteristics of TOURAN: Simple and Magnanimous.

I think many girls had such similar experience like I did, when shopping in the mall or pedestrian street, a guy with a camera,ask if he can take a picture of you, and after that they will send you by email.

It is actually a kind of advertisement,once they get your email, they will use your name sign in their web page,of course, this web page is most for some picture blog.

The picture as below was the only once I agreed to let a stranger taking picture of me, luckily, he didn't use my picture to show in some illegal web page,and also, the picture is not bad ,haha. I like it actually.

What the female friend for?

This week is definitely full of moved by some female friends:

1. Phone: Already talked with Candy and happy to know that she finally find her decision.I deeply respect her courage to face the reality and "brake" an complicate relationship in time,which was also infected me a lot.She is just like a mirror of me,we share stories and learn from each other.

2. Meet: Met my buddies in Beijing(see photos),we are friends grew up from childhood together.As we all know each other for more than 20 years, we have so much similar feelings about tough relationships and even have the same experience as well.you know that they are even safer than the man sleep with you.

Also, Met Karen from Guilin,have a very exciting girl's talk in the restaurant,the most funny things is that we are too exciting to miss our drink and realize it after 2 hours hot talking.How a talkative person we are!

3.Watch: Have watched the film"The Women".It's no doubt that this film is one of my most favourite films in 2008. The main role is Meg Ryan, who moved me since"Sleepless in Seattle".She always try to show the deep feeling of being a woman in her films.May be we'll never have a chance to meet each other in our life,but I truly have the sympathetic response to the role she acted.Friendship is transnational.

The power of now!

I am Just starting to read this book "The power of now" and strongly recommend to our 20 something, especially when you are facing the particular juncture in your life.Being surrounded by so much temptations nowadays,it's not always easy to have a clear-headed and soon you will find you become lost.

Reading it feels like you are seating in front of a wise man,you talk with each other,try to help you finding the real you,and even tell you some good method to connet to the real you .The author did quote some sayings from the Bible,for me , it is more like a emissary sent by God and tell me what should I do right now.

So what can and what shoul I do right now?what is the most important right now? the answer is actually very very simple:Just forget the good or bad past and the very unknown future, enjoy the moment you have right now! Including treasure the people now at your side(no matter how unhappy you with each other in the past);the job now you deal with(no matter how money you get);the food you want to eat(no matter the social standard of thin like a stick)


Today friend C sent me a message and tell me that after a long conversation with that guy, they decide to public their official love affair,but she change her mind very quickly the second day.I don't want to criticize,I truly understand that kind of changeable feeling when making a serious decision, on the other hand, it reflect her serious attitude.what I want to say is: "My dear, you think too much about what was and what it could be,life is miracle,no one can foresee the future,you two look to make for each other now, and this relationship definitely worth preserving, I know you are not perfect, but strong enough to face any result."

Sarkozy,Mind your own affairs!

There is a very popular appellation with Chinese characteristics call"Fenqing"(Chinese Pinyin).it's hard to find the directly explanation in the dictionary.Created in the 1970's, this appellation represent a person who are cynical on the reality, extended meaning nowadays is a person who is a patriot to his/her country and is always been a politically aware person,the most important thing is he/she always want to protect his/her motherland.

I think I am a "Fenqing",as well as Candy, one of my raggies in Guilin , because we always has a hot debate about some sensitive issues.Actually the China and French matter has caught my attention for several days,today I cannot help expressing my impression about French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

Sarkozy persisted in meeting the Dalai Lama on Saturday as French president, who also holds the rotating EU presidency, in total disregard of Chinese people's strong opposition and repeated stern representations by the Chinese side.

As a president of a historical country, his actions didn't match this position at all.His changeable foreign policy is a reflection of his personality:opportunistic, rash and short-sighted

Let's take a look at his some words and deeds this year which has made him "famous" in China:

1.Jingjing,who defended the Olympic torch from Tibet separatists during the Paris leg of the torch relay.accepted the Sarkozy's apology and visited invitation to Paris after the torch relay .But ,soon before Olympic , he sent his wife to have an unofficial meeting with Dalai Lama again.

2. He announced not to attend Beijing Olympic until China accepted Dalai Lama's so called “Tibet autonomy declaration”. But, soon after a meeting in Japan, he decide to attend Beijing Olympic.

3.During his China visit in August this year, Sarkozy said that France has always regarded China as an important strategic partner ,But, soon in November, he decide to meet Dalai again

After so much times he has hurt us . How can we trust him again?

As calmed down,I found that this is not only about Sarkozy ,let us not to personalize the issue, Actually he represent some part of French people or may be it's a big part. realize this make me even more upset.

First winter in Beijing

After much delay, Beijing showed Its truly cold weather at last.

When I left house today I immediately regretted my decision of dress , deceived by the sunshine at noon and the very warm central heating system inside the room, I was just wearing a woolen coat,with a cotton blouse underneath,then hurry up to the school.Lowest temperature by weather broadcast is -7 degrees Celsius, so you can image the picture how dizzy I was by the strong wind,even the bus stop is just about 10 minutes walk from my house, my body were numb in a very short time.

Take a look at the surrounding, people are all in a rush to find a cover place;the seedling was frozen to death;everything looks so cold and cheerless,no wonder researcher says that winter is the high-incidence season of acute depression.

A cold front is moving in from the south west, bringing further cold winds. So, the only thing we can do is make sure to watch out for the wind chill factor and wrap up warm.
